Pricing and Policy Changes for 2013

I hope everyone is enjoying some down time after the holidays! Are you excited about 2013? I am! I took a bit of time off in the beginning of last year after my son was born. I was blessed to have a busy second half and now I am focusing on my goals moving forward. This includes pricing and policy changes. I am also in the process of updating my logo and marketing materials, as well as working on an attractive client guide that should explain what to expect when booking a session.

There will be some changes to pricing this year. The prices have remained the same for 2 years so it is definitely time to reevaluate some things to make sure I am sustaining my business and meeting my clients’ needs. The session fee/minimum order model will be going away and replaced by all-inclusive session fees. The entire amount will be due prior to the session and will include ALL of your digital files as well as a print credit. I don’t want my clients to have to choose between their images. I want you to have ALL of your files. I have already created the images and it is a shame to trash them, and you never know which images you might love 10 years from now! It seems that most clients purchase their files anyway so this should be a good thing for most. However I feel like I would be doing a disservice by offering ONLY files. Portraits are meant to be printed. So all packages will include all files and a print credit. Easy peasy.

For the folks that purchase digital files, the regular portrait sessions will not cost more. Newborns will increase some since they require so much more time and the costs are higher for all those adorable props. So if you are considering a newborn session you may want to book now to secure the current pricing. Once I post the new prices all sessions will be booked under the new pricing structure. This will likely be sometime in early February. The new model is simple and straightforward and I think it will really benefit everyone.

I am excited about the changes coming this year and I hope my clients will be too!
