Woodlands Child Pictures – Curls!

This little girl has the most adorable head of curls ever! She knew what I was up to and made sure I got a work out that day! She liked to run, and then she would sit in my lap, but that doesn’t make it easy to take her picture! In the end I usually win and get some great shots anyway. I have a little boy her age so I know the game. 😉 Her momma was referred to my by another wonderful client of mine. A lot of my clients are referrals, and I can’t tell you what a compliment that is and how much I appreciate it!

How sweet are Miss E’s curls?

The Woodlands Childrens Photographer

As a Woodlands childrens photographer, I get giddy about repeat clients.  I am so excited I can finally share these images! I took pictures of these two sisters a couple years ago and this year their grandmother wanted to gift this session to their mom as a surprise for Christmas. Their mom happens to be a friend of mine and follows my page, so I had to wait to share them. Oh the patience!  The oldest little girl has been friends with my daughter since they were little babies. I love capturing them!

Wouldn’t you die for a head of curls like that!?  How beautiful are these girls!  They were an absolute blast to work with.

Enjoy and let me know what you think!

This is my favorite image. I just love the expression she is giving me!

Aren’t the pink dresses spectacular!?  And the smiles on these girls is contagious.  My clients are so often newborns and I love photographing the older children as well!  We had an absolute blast!

Are you looking for a Woodlands childrens photographer?  I’d be honored to document this time in your children’s lives!  Contact me today and lets start planning your own unique session!

Houston Children’s Portraits

These clients actually aren’t in the Houston area, they are from the town my husband is from and are good friends of his family. They have me do their pictures every year when we are in town and I love seeing these adorable twin boys grow! They are seriously some of the sweetest people I know! We did these at their home where they have a beautiful courtyard and pretty landscaping. This is proof that sometimes the best location is your own home! How handsome are these boys?

Family Pictures The Woodlands – Shoot Out

This was another mini session from our local photography group shoot out day in The Woodlands. Don’t they just look like the model family? They were dressed well and the kids were so good!!! Of course I always love pictures of the kids but in this case I also love the images of the parents. It is so nice when the daddies are into what is going on and this couple was so cute! LOVE LOVE LOVE!

The Woodlands Kids Portraits – Models in the Making

These lovely sisters were some of our models for a group shoot our local photography group held in The Woodlands. They were just too easy! I work with little ones a lot so it was fun to work with some older kids! They were naturals! Here are a few portraits I got from our mini session with them.

10 on 10 Monthly Blog Circle – Houston Children’s Photographer

I have been fortunate to be a part of a great group of fellow photographers in the area that are participating in a monthly blog circle. I will post 10 images on the 10th of the month and link to the next person, and so on, so please click on the next person’s link at the end to see more wonderful photos! I have been working on my neglected blog lately and one thing I noticed was that I don’t really post anything personal, so I decided to use all lifestyle images for my 10 on 10 post. This is an area of photography that I have already been working on this year.

We moved to a new home about a month ago and my girls each have their own room now.  My oldest stole my ipad and was enjoying some time to herself.

My 4 year old laying under the sprinkler and a wet towel and complaining that she was cold! We spent some time at the neighborhood pool and then in the sprinklers on the 4th of July.

Fireworks on the 4th of July and my son already trying to fill daddy’s shoes.

Shooting her sister in the face with a water animal.

He used to be such a momma’s boy but he is quickly becoming daddy’s buddy.
Cupcakes. The way to this girl’s heart. They made them with their grammy one weekend.

They were having a fashion show on the stairs, all to the tune of “Call Me Maybe.”

I wasn’t trying to pose him like a newborn (although the thought has crossed my mind)! He was tired and laid down on the blanket himself. I am trying to hold on to any babyhood he has left so he still drinks from a bottle and takes a pacifier and I don’t even care. He is usually at least half naked and is either climbing, getting into something, making a mess or wanting to be held 24/7. He is spoiled rotten! I know I need to do something about all of this. Someday. 🙂

I hope you enjoy this interruption of my normal blogging format, we will now return to your regularly scheduled program! Please continue the circle and visit Eliz Alex Photography HERE!

FAST – The Woodlands Family Portraits

I expect nothing less than a great workout when an 18 month old is involved, and that’s what I got with little G! I had a lot of fun chasing him around. He was such a fun guy and he loves his giraffe so much that his parents had to buy 4 of them! This session almost got rained out and I am so glad it didn’t because the cloudy weather made for some nice lighting. I love how they styled their clothes and the candid nature of a lot of the images.

This is my favorite shot:

And here are a few more of my favorites. I loved all of them really, this is one of my favorite family portrait sessions this year.

Houston Child Portraits – Madison

This is my oldest niece who is only 13 and taller than me, and she doesn’t let me forget it. I took these while we were visiting family in Castroville, TX. I actually took pictures of my husband’s whole family, including one with me actually in it. I was even having an excellent hair day, but I am pretty sure some of them would disown me if I posted them! I love this location and I wish it were closer to home!

The Woodlands Family Portraits – Family of Four

I say “family of four” because their dog is very much one of their babies, so it was only appropriate to include her in some of the pictures as well. If only my children were so well behaved! 😉 I used to babysit their son and it is so much fun to watch him grow into a little person. Just like a typical little boy, he loved playing with sticks and pine cones!

Houston Holiday Portraits – Priceless

Sometimes toddlers love to have their picture taken. Sometimes they need to be bribed with candy, ice cream or cell phones. Sometimes they cry anyway. And sometimes, the crying picture is the most priceless one of all! And most of the time, I still get great images. 🙂 It was so great to see this adorable set of twin brothers again for their yearly Christmas card session. They weren’t too happy to take pictures, but in their defense, it was FREEZING outside! And it was 7am. Those are two things that make me want to cry so I feel you guys!
